Club members join together to participate in many parades in central Texas towns. This is a wonderful experience and a civic involvement we really enjoy.
Club members organize and participate in day long excursions in our antique vehicles to visit nearby points of interest, enjoying good food and good company along the way. In addition, there are two regional tours away from Austin extending for 2-3 days. We also host or have the opportunity to participate in events across the nation hosted by other regions of the national AACA.
Repair or restoration parts are always needed by old car buffs, and there are numerous local, regional, and national swap meets dedicated to the hobby. The Central Texas Region AACA is one of the member hosts for the Pate Swap Meet, which is one of the largest swap meets in the country.
Members enter their vehicles as a group for various local shows for the pleasure of sharing our antiques with others. Group participation always adds to the enjoyment of shows. We also host or have the opportunity to participate in structured judged events across the nation hosted by other regions of the national AACA. Such events offer the opportunity to establish “credentials” for restored and for original vehicles.
Club members and guest speakers are invited to share their expertise on various subjects related to the automotive hobby.
Monthly meetings are educational and informative as well as a time to meet good friends and enjoy social time together.
